RECE NEEDED for September 2026 for a permanent part-time split shift position.

 

We are located in McKee Public School and operate 10-months of the year from September to June, providing quality early learning and care for children from 30-months to 12 years of age. 

 

About the position:

 

  • The split shift permanent part-time position is 5.5 hours per day, Monday to Friday

  • The salary for this position is: $29.91 per hour, plus grants if available

We are looking for a professional Registered Early Childhood Educator who is passionate about excellence in childcare.

 

Required:

 

  • Must provide/be willing to provide a recent (within 6 months) satisfactory vulnerable sector check

  • TB test, current standard first aid and CPR-C certificate, medical clearance

  • Member in Good Standing with the College of Early Childhood Educators

  • Able to work a split shift position

  • Ability to work fulltime on PA days, March Break, Winter Break

  • Flexible availability from Monday to Friday between the hours of 7:00am-6:00pm

  • Experience programming creatively in a play-based, emergent environment, supportive of children and their families

  • Experience with the CCEYA, Elect, How Does Learning Happen and the AQI

  • A strong work ethic, positive attitude, and caring personality

  • Able to produce assessments, evaluations, portfolios and document using ELECT  

  • Excellent english communication skills both verbal and written are necessary

  • Computer skills necessary including microsoft word and app based programs

  • Ability to be flexible, show initiative, multi-task and work independently

  • Able to work confidently with all age groups from preschool to schoolage

  • Ability to adhere to all centre policies

  • Ability to mangage children with challenging behaviours

  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively with staff, parents and community partners

  • Sensitivity and awareness of the needs of diverse communities

  • Ability to attend staff meetings and training during the day.
